PERSECUTION (AUSTRALIA)


Sydney's Persecution was a band whose allegiances seemed to shift with every different song they played. Their stance and attitude was one of a hardcore punk band, but musically Persecution embraced the stylistics of extreme metal. With two vocalists and a seemingly permanently floating rhythm section, Persecution mixed hardcore with metal elements such as death, grind and even doom to create a confronting, violent and unique style.
