MEZZROW (SWEDEN)

Thrash Metal purveyors MEZZROW were formed in Nyköping, Sweden and released two demo tapes, "Frozen Soul" (1988) and "The Cross Of Torment"(ion) (1989). The band then got an offer by UK's Active Records to release their 1990 Album "Then Came The Killing". Active Records were marketed by Music For Nations Records, home (or former home) to almost any good Thrash Metal band; Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Exodus, Overkill, Forbidden, Nuclear Assault, Dark Angel, among others, but label support was rather poor and the band started to show the first signs of disappointment. MEZZROW then went on to record a new three-song demo in 1991, plain and simple called Demo '91. That would be the last recording session by the band as a unit before they split. The classic line up, the Then Came The Killing era, consisted of Ulf Pettersson on vocals, Staffe Karlsson and Zebba Karlsson on guitars, Conny Welen on bass, and Steffe Karlsson on Drums.
