INVOCATOR (DENMARK)

A Thrash band dating back to 1986 that went under their original title of BLACK CREED. The group's first tape was a live tape recorded at the local ุster 3 on 12-12-1987. 'Genetic Confusion' was the first studio demo, recorded in 1988 followed by 'Alterations' the following year. This demos was voted demo of the year by the readers of Metal Forces. After a gig with EDGE OF SANITY and ENTOMBED the band signed to Swedish label Black Mark. During 1990 the band toured both Denmark, Holland, Germany, Sweden and Finland allied with alot of different bands like Deadhead, Massacre, Morgoth, Immolation, Incubus, Bolt Thrower, Benediction, Atheist, Suffocation, Gorefest, Blood, Deathcore, Artillery, Unleashed, Entombed, Merciless, Asphyx, Prestige, Maple Cross and many others. The band's debut album, 1991's 'Excursion Demise' featured the same line-up as the "Alterations" demo which was Jacob Hansen (guitar/vocal), Jakob Schultz (guitar), and former V-AXE, GRAFF SPEE and EXTREME FEEDBACK drummer and bassist Per M. Jensen (drums) and Jesper M. Jensen. The album sold around 10000 copies in Europe. The album was followed by a European tour in January 1992 with Dark Angel and Sacrosanct. Same year Invocator supported Sepultura in Copenhagen and in July they played the Roskilde Festival.
