EXTERMINANCE (USA/MD)

Cumberland, Maryland-based Grindcore act EXTERMINANCE was rooted in the 1988 band THE DECEASED formed by guitar player Paul Folk and vocalist / bassist Rodney Day. This combo became MORTIS DEATH in 1989 and, with the incorporation of drummer Brian Muir in 1990, EXTERMINANCE for the opening nine track demo 'Reign Of Darkness'. EXTERMINANCE recorded four demos, 'Reign Of Darkness', 1991's 'Environmental Execution' and 'Descending, Decomposing And Dead' plus 1992's 'Hatred Knows No Discrimination', upfront of their 1993 commercial 7" split single debut, 'Vomiting The Trinity', shared with MASS PSYCHOSIS through Shredomatic Records. The 'Seven Deadly Sins' album, recorded at Pittsburgh's Audiomation Studio and Rockville, Maryland's Hit & Run Studios, followed in 1994 for Last World Records. Membership problems then struck as Rodney Day departed. Folk took over lead vocal duties as the band evolved into AMERCED.
