ETERNAL TEARS OF SORROW (FINLAND)

Eternal Tears of Sorrow was officially formed in May'94 when the first promo tape "The Seven Goddesses of Frost" was recorded. At this time ('till Mar'99) EToS consisted of three members: Altti (bass/vox), Olli (gtr) and Jarmo (gtr). The second promo "Bard's Burial" was recorded at a studio, Tico-Tico in Kemi, Finland.  This happened in Oct'94 and it gave the band what they had been hoping for a while: a record deal with X-Treme Records from Gothenburg, Sweden as well as songs on some compilation albums. After doing the army stuff, the guys started to prepare the songs for the debut album.  The debut album "Sinner's Serenade" was recorded at Tico-Tico in Jun'96 in no more than four days.. Unfortunately it didn't come out until Sep'97, the reason for the rescheduling was never told to the band.
